What’s New in 2025-26

Welcome to the 2025–26 California Educator Reporting System (CERS) User Guide. Below are the latest updates and enhancements made to CERS.

Student Group Bulk Actions Menu

The Student Groups Administrator Tool available to administrators allows users to bulk assign, download, and delete student groups. This is done on the Manage Student Groups page where users can choose to assign, delete, or download one or more groups at a time. These features may be most useful at the beginning or end of terms or school years. Refer to the Student Group Bulk Actions Menu section for more information.

Edit Student Group and Assigned Users

Administrators with permission to manage student groups are able to edit existing student groups and assigned users. Administrators can add students to existing groups by using the student’s SSID, and students can be removed directly from the group. Administrators can also assign users to groups by adding the user’s email, and users can also be removed directly from the group. Refer to the Edit Student Group section for more information.

Updated Individual Student Reports

The printable Individual Student Reports (ISRs) for all interim assessments have been updated for improved accessibility, which includes changes to font size, spacing, colors and contrast, The interim assessment ISRs also have improved template layouts for usability and a consistent design across assessments. Refer to the Printable Reports section for more information on generating ISRs.

The Instructional Resources buttons have been separated into two options: the [District Resources] button and the [Tools for Teachers] button. The [District Resources] button gives teachers and school administrators access to links added by an administrator. The [Tools for Teachers] button links directly to the Tools for Teachers website where instructors can find additional resources.
