Allowlisting URLs for Online Testing

Testing sites provide test items as well as support services such as dictionaries and thesauruses.

If the school’s filtering system has both internal and external filtering, the URLs for the testing websites must be allowlisted in both filters. Ensure the filtering system is not configured to perform packet inspection on traffic to CAI servers. Please refer to the filtering system’s documentation for specific instructions. Be sure to allowlist URLs in any multilayer filtering system (such as local and global layers). Ensure all items that handle traffic to *cambiumtds.com, and *.tds.cambiumast.com have the entire certificate chain and are using the latest TLS 1.2 protocol.

URLs for Testing Websites

This subsection lists the domain names for CAASPP and ELPAC online testing and nontesting applications. Ensure the testing devices have access to a DNS server that can resolve those names.

Test Administrator, Test Examiner, and Student Testing Websites

Testing servers and satellites may be added or modified during the school year to ensure an optimal testing experience. As a result, a user is strongly encouraged to allowlist at the root level. This requires using a wildcard; additionally, wildcards are encouraged, as servers may be added or removed from the field without notice.

For the 2025–26 test administration, users should add CAI URLs listed in this table to the LEA allowlist.

Online Dictionary and Thesaurus

Some online assessments contain an embedded dictionary and thesaurus provided by Merriam-Webster. The following Merriam-Webster URLs should also be allowlisted to ensure that students can use them during testing:

URLs for Nontesting Websites

Table 1 lists URLs for nontesting sites, such as TOMS, TIDE, and CERS. LEAs are encouraged to add these URLs to local allowlists.
