What’s New in 2024–25

New Interim Assessments for the CAST and ELPAC

An additional set of nine new interim assessments for the CAST is now available to improve teaching and learning in the classroom. A second set of 28 new interim assessments for the ELPAC will be available in September 2024.

New Focused Interim Assessment Blocks

New FIABs have been added for the 2024–25 test administration: 14 FIABs for ELA and 5 FIABs for mathematics.

New Performance Task

A new grade six ELA performance task, Ancient Aztecs, has replaced the previous performance task for the 2024–25 test administration.

Data Entry Interface – Manner of Administration

When scoring ELPAC K-2 Writing and ELPAC K-12 Speaking interim assessments, the Manner of Administration automatically defaults to Standardized/Benchmark in the DEI. If the interim assessment was administered in a nonstandardized manner, educators will need to select Nonstandardized on the Review Test Settings screen in the DEI prior to entering a student's scores.
